General Information
Important Information
This course is designed in compliance with Chapter VI, Section A-VI/1 and tables A-VI/3 of the STCW Code of the International Convention on standards of training, certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers STCW/78 Code, as amended.
Syllabus
At the end of this course, successful trainee will be able to explain, describe and identify the correct procedure of the following operations:
- Encountering an accident or medical emergency until the arrival of a competent person in charge of medical care on board.
- Describing the body structure, in terms of skeleton, joints, muscles and tendons, major organs (brain, heart, lungs, etc.), circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary and nervous systems, as well as stating the functions of the organs and systems of organs forming the human body structure.
Target Group
Candidates will use the GIMET e-learning platform to watch a series of video lessons, and to access a broad range of teaching materials. This course is designed and structured in strict accordance with the IMO Model Course 1.13.
